Lowell - the choice of Jamie Wilson
All,
Lowell have found a new CFO.
Jamie Wilson - previously CFO of direct selling giant Avon and at SabMiller and more recently non-exec. at Thomas Cook.
Presumably he has experience in accounting for vast numbers of small transactions and he has operating experience too. What we are not seeing is complex balance sheet accounting for portfolios or a relentless cost cutting drive. The turnaround at Avon seems to have been planned before him and executed primarily by the COO, whose CFO duties Jamie took over.
Jamie does bring respectability to Lowell and experience in refinancing. Having joined TC late as non-exec. should do little to harm that reputation. As Lowell need to address their balance sheet, that’s probably just what they need.
