Friday's confusion around Astaldi

Friday’s storm around Astaldi was over before it had started, but thanks to further press reports on Saturday we know more about it now.

In a letter to Astaldi and advisors on Thursday, the Italian Export Credit Agency SACE had frozen E164m of guarantees for several foreign projects, citing technical reasons.

On Friday therefore Giovanni Tria, Minister of Finance and Economics, intervened and by noon the guarantee lines were open again.

One more proof that Project Italy is on track and that the establishment has agreed to pursue it.
