Boparan - comment

The recent recall of cooked poultry in France does not impact Boparan, risk would come from volume falls if the issue in France is much more widespread than thought. Possible but not likely.

Listeria occurs in soil and water and can be carried in vegetables and into the intestines of poultry.Once poultry catch the disease it can be passed from live bird to live bird. It can be difficult to clean a plant after an outbreak but unlike, say avian flu, uncontrollable passage through a national flock is not a major risk. Cooking the meat to steaming hot kills listeria consumption. The high temperatures in the summer this year and poor storage procedures may have been blamed for one recent outbreak in Italy
