Atos - comment

Les Echos reported that Bain Capital will submit a bid for parts of Atos, meeting today’s deadline.  Bain Capital was previously mentioned in conjunction with a consortium including Kretinsky for parts or all of Atos.  We should expect further press reports concerning partial bids in the coming days following the expiry of the deadline, 3rd May, for interested parties to submit proposals. 

However, we expect no firm decisions will be made in the short term and the business to be kept whole, especially if rumours are true that both creditors and a consortium of shareholders led by OnePoint are willing to invest the required €1.1bn of new capital.
