The latest strike ballot by ASDA staff only covers 400 staff, so the impact on ASDA will be insignificant, but it does indicate that the cuts in hours are beginning to bite workers. The ballot also mentions the equal pay claim. ASDA warehouse workers are mainly male and are paid more than the store staff (who are mainly female). A case claiming that the jobs are equal and should receive equal hourly pay is with the courts.
