ASDA - comment
ASDA is calibrating its Roll Back programme by quietly removing some products and increasing the number of items that are discounted. Rational behaviour will be a relief, but the publicity around rolling back some price cuts will need managing. Repositioning itself will be a long haul for ASDA; the company needs to discount the right products and reduce SKUs. For its part, TDR will allow Allan Leighton the space to implement his turnaround plan.
